On July 13, Jiankangyuan, the Guangling County Poverty Alleviation Office, and the Guangling County Medical Group signed a tripartite agreement on poverty alleviation for chronic diseases. Jiankangyuan will provide 1 million yuan worth of medicine to impoverished patients with chronic diseases in Guangling County in the first year. This poverty alleviation project for chronic diseases is the first successful project of its kind in North China for Jiankangyuan. Previously, Jiankangyuan and Lizhu Group had launched chronic disease poverty alleviation projects in Zhaotien District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, and Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, which have received widespread attention.

“The number of chronic disease patients in China remains high and is increasing year by year, with too many families falling back into poverty due to illness. Jiankangyuan focuses on poverty alleviation for chronic diseases, aiming to achieve targeted poverty alleviation by donating chronic disease medications free of charge to impoverished people with chronic diseases,” explained the person in charge of Jiankangyuan's public welfare initiatives, outlining the company's initial intentions for chronic disease poverty alleviation. On July 15, the State Council issued the "Opinions of the State Council on Implementing the Healthy China Action," which emphasizes strengthening the prevention and control of four major chronic diseases—cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes—as well as infectious diseases and endemic diseases. Jiankangyuan's chronic disease poverty alleviation goals are accurate and effective, and are highly consistent with the State Council's opinions on implementing the Healthy China Action.

Currently, Jiankangyuan's first respiratory product, inhaled ipratropium bromide solution, has been approved, marking a key first step in building a leading enterprise in inhaled formulations. In the future, based on the four major chronic diseases—cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes—highlighted in the "Opinions of the State Council on Implementing the Healthy China Action," Jiankangyuan may adjust its group's poverty alleviation drug list and conduct respiratory check-ups and other related medical activities, in order to cover more impoverished patients with chronic diseases and contribute to a Healthy China.
