A phase III clinical study on tobramycin inhalation solution for treating bronchiectasis (BE) with Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) infection, jointly led by researcher Guan Weijie, assistant director of the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases and Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health, was published in the journal Chest. This study is currently the largest multicenter clinical study of BE worldwide, and for the first time globally, it adopted a self-designed double clinical efficacy endpoint (bacterial load + quality of life). Recently, the results of a phase III clinical trial of tobramycin inhalation solution for the treatment of bronchiectasis (BE) with Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) infection, jointly led by researchers including researcher Guan Weijie from the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases and Guangzhou Respiratory Health Institute, were published in the authoritative international medical journal Chest (the official publication of the American College of Chest Physicians). This study is currently the largest sample size (357 cases) in the world for BE, a collaborative clinical study involving 33 centers nationwide. For the first time, a clinical trial of nebulized inhaled antibiotics for the treatment of BE adopted dual endpoints (bacterial load + quality of life). The results showed that in patients with BE and PA infection, tobramycin nebulization inhalation treatment can significantly reduce PA load in sputum, reduce 24-hour sputum volume, reduce purulent sputum score, and significantly improve patients' quality of life.

On the evening of September 20, Jiankangyuan (600380.SH) announced that it had recently received the "Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice" for XYP-001 from the National Medical Products Administration, approving the clinical trial of the product for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Jiankangyuan stated that XYP-001 is an improved new drug developed by the company. It was accepted on July 15, 2022, with the acceptance number CXHL2200508. It is intended for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). If successfully developed, it will provide IPF patients with a new and safer treatment option. As of the announcement, Jiankangyuan's cumulative R&D investment in XYP-001 is approximately RMB 19.3 million.
