Jiankang Yuan & Lizhu Group join hands with Taohuayuan for "Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation" - Haidian's second quarter drug distribution work completed successfully

Recently, the second-quarter drug distribution work of the "Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation" project, jointly initiated by Health Gen, Lizhu Group, and the Taohuayuan Foundation in the Xiang Hai National Nature Reserve, was successfully completed. 2587 boxes of medicine were distributed to impoverished patients with chronic diseases in the surrounding villages, including 630 boxes of Atorvastatin Sodium Capsules, 263 boxes of Isosorbide Mononitrate Tablets, 755 boxes of Amlodipine Besylate Capsules, 715 boxes of Valsartan Capsules, and 224 boxes of Bismuth Potassium Citrate Tablets.
It is understood that since 2016, the Taohuayuan Foundation has cooperated with the Xiang Hai National Nature Reserve to implement strict protection measures for 175 square kilometers of land. To date, the Xiang Hai Reserve has 317 species of birds, including 10 national first-class protected bird species. It is an important gathering and foraging ground for the western population of red-crowned cranes. However, while protecting biodiversity, the surrounding villages need to sacrifice certain development opportunities. Taohuayuan has been seeking a more perfect balance point between protection and development. Therefore, with the recommendation of the Taohuayuan Foundation, Health Gen, combining its pharmaceutical advantages, signed a chronic disease poverty alleviation assistance agreement with Xiang Hai on November 26, 2019. A "Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation" joint working group was established with local government staff, reserve center staff, and village doctors from each village to constantly monitor the health of local impoverished patients with chronic diseases.
In the future, it is hoped that with the participation of Xiang Hai Township Government, Health Gen, Taohuayuan, and more social forces, a sustainable development path of "development and protection" can be explored!
To date, donations have been completed for four villages, helping 489 impoverished patients with chronic diseases.
