To pay tribute to all the kind-hearted people who have participated in and supported the development of Shenzhen's charitable cause, under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, the Shenzhen Charity Federation held the "Shenzhen Charity for Twenty Years" tribute event on the afternoon of September 5th, the ninth "China Charity Day". The Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau released the "2023 Shenzhen Charity Donation List" at the event.
It is reported that the list was compiled by the Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. It includes three lists: corporate donations, social organization donation income, and individual donations. It aims to commend the units and individuals who have contributed to the development of Shenzhen's charitable cause, inspire social participation in charity, and review the credibility, transparency, and professionalism of charitable organizations. Data shows that in 2023, the total amount of donations from enterprises, social organizations, and individuals on this list was nearly 35 billion yuan.
Among them, the corporate donation list includes 409 companies, including Tencent Group, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Haiwang Group, SF Holding, etc., with a total donation of 19.789 billion yuan. The social organization donation income list includes 648 social organizations, including the Shenzhen New Base Stone Science Foundation, the Shenzhen Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Education Foundation, the Shenzhen University Education Development Foundation, and the Southern University of Science and Technology Education Foundation, with a total donation income of 14.852 billion yuan. The individual donation list includes 673 kind-hearted people, such as Zhu Baoguo and Li Xianyi, with a total donation of 102 million yuan.
In 2023, under the leadership of Chairman Zhu Baoguo, we donated 20 million yuan worth of rescue funds and medical supplies to the earthquake-stricken areas, providing assistance and support to emergency rescue, the resettlement of affected people, support for rescue teams, and post-disaster reconstruction. At the same time, combining the advantages of pharmaceutical companies, we have been carrying out the "Inclusive Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Public Welfare Project" since 2018, regularly donating medicines to remote areas in need. The project has covered many provinces and autonomous regions across the country, benefiting more than 20,000 low-income patients with chronic diseases.
The holding of the "Shenzhen Charity for Twenty Years" tribute event and the release of the "2023 Shenzhen Charity Donation List" are full affirmations of Chairman Zhu Baoguo's leadership in the group's active emergency disaster relief, persistent efforts in inclusive chronic disease prevention and control, and various contributions to rural revitalization in 2023. In the future, we will continue to actively practice corporate social responsibility and work with social forces from all walks of life to jointly promote the high-quality development of Shenzhen's charitable cause in the new era.
