In my initial understanding, a craftsman was a taciturn master, wearing thick glasses and a leather apron, working in a dimly lit workshop, doing the same job day in and day out for decades, like a machine. After working for many years, and especially after reading about the glorious deeds of national craftsmen such as Li Wanjun, "worker academician", Shi Pinfang, an expert in processing parts for domestically produced large aircraft, and Yu Shuangli, an electrician technician who enjoys special government allowances, I have a new understanding of craftsmen: Craftsmen in the new era should be dedicated to doing every job well and constantly pursuing new technological breakthroughs.
Since joining Lizhu Group Sichuan Guangda Pharmaceutical, I started as an ordinary operator in the granulation workshop and have now become the workshop manager. The company has given me a platform to realize my self-worth. The work in the workshop is busy; every day, from operators to managers, everyone is like a wound-up watch, constantly "turning". With the increasing requirements of GMP management, cost pressure has also increased year by year, and the old production processes and methods can no longer meet the current management requirements. Technological improvement is imminent.
Antiviral granules (sugar-free) are the company's flagship product. Before August 2018, there was a widespread problem of low yield. Low yield resulted in a large amount of waste, putting enormous pressure on costs. To overcome the problem of low yield of antiviral granules (sugar-free), I and the operators formed a technical improvement team. By adjusting, controlling, and optimizing the granulation parameters (clarified paste temperature, air intake, spraying speed, spraying atomization pressure, drying time, initial material temperature, etc.), we found a reasonable parameter range, making the resulting granules more uniform and increasing the number of granules that meet the size requirements. In actual production in 2019, the yield has been consistently above 85% and stable at around 90%, significantly reducing costs.
In response to the company's call for cost improvement, the workshop established several cost improvement project teams in 2021. While adhering to the correct process parameters to improve yield, we also worked hard to reduce human waste. By April 2021, the average yield of antiviral granules had improved significantly.
Production work requires a spirit of striving for perfection. I believe in one sentence: There is no best, only better. In 2020, I was awarded the "Lizhu Craftsman" award, a weighty honor that makes me feel even more on edge, constantly reminding myself not to live up to this hard-earned honor and to continue moving forward on the path of technological improvement with this honor.
