  1. Summary

To promote the development of the corporate culture of Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “we”, “our”), we value and are committed to cultivating employees so that all employees can obtain a sense of belonging, respect and importance. To the extent permitted by local laws, we will not discriminate against employees on the basis of age, ethnicity, race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, social background, marital status or other legally protected identity factors. In light of the above, the Company has formulated the Policy.

  1. Scope of Application

The Policy is applicable to all the employees (including full-time employees, part-time employees and temporary employees) of the Company and our subsidiaries.

 

  1. Our Governance

The Company has established a board-level Social Responsibility Committee, which is responsible for formulating, managing, supervising and implementing the Company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy. The Policy has been reviewed by the Social Responsibility Committee of Board of Directors of the Company. The management and human resources department work together to embed the diversity, equity and inclusion policy into business operations, provide trainings on diversity, equity and inclusion policy to all employees in compliance with laws and promote the implementation of related projects, and report the progress of such projects to the Social Responsibility Committee on a regular basis. The Board of Directors regularly reviews the Company’s policies, projects and specific measures to ensure their effective implementation in various situations.

 

  1. Recruitment of Talents with Diverse Backgrounds

The Company takes practical actions to actively recruit and attract talents with diverse backgrounds, and ensures fairness and equity in the recruitment process. We are committed to developing and cultivating a diverse workforce, and welcome talents with different backgrounds to submit job applications, regardless of any differences they may have in educational and occupational backgrounds, religious belief, nationality, marital status, race, color, ethnicity, disability status, etc.

 

  1. A Diverse, Equal and Inclusive Workplace

To enhance employees’ awareness of diversity, improve the acceptance of employees with different backgrounds, and promote cooperation and collaboration among employees, the Company will provide material and non-material benefits to facilitate the development of a diverse workplace, including statutory holidays, government-subsidized talent housing, team building activities, gymnasiums, etc.

The Company actively takes measures to strengthen the awareness of diversity, equity and inclusion among all employees, improve the acceptance of employees with different backgrounds, promote collaboration among colleagues, and create a workplace that makes everyone feel safe and recognized. All employees are required to complete trainings in relation to the Policy and other aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion to eliminate or reduce unconscious bias.

The Company advocates fair and equal personal development plans, and makes decisions on recruitment, promotion, salary adjustment and other matters affecting employment terms and conditions based on employee performance, without considering factors such as age, ethnicity, race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, social background, marital status or other legally protected identity factors.

The Company’s management should present inclusive leadership, maintain an open and inclusive mindset, value and listen to diverse opinions. When deciding on performance evaluation and promotion, the Company’s management is required to treat employees with different backgrounds fairly and impartially, and avoid possible conscious or unconscious discrimination or prejudice.

 

  1. Employee Engagement and Continuous Improvement

The Company will conduct annual internal opinion collection and evaluation to measure employees’ satisfaction. When evaluating and optimizing the Company’s benefits and formal training and development programs with market competitiveness offered to employees, the Company will take the employee feedback collected in the surveys into account.

 

  1. Channels for Reporting Violations

The Company encourages employees to use established channels to report violations of the Policy. We promise to keep the information provided by the whistleblower confidential and always protect the whistleblower from any form of retaliation.

The supervision and internal audit department and human resources department will respond promptly after receiving a report of violation. The Company will deal with all reported violations seriously, investigate them carefully, and provide feedback to the whistleblowers in a timely manner. If a reported violation is verified to be true, the Company will take corrective measures as needed.

  1. Disclosure and Application of Relevant Policies

The Policy should be read and applied in conjunction with the Company’s procedural documents and other relevant policies of the Company, especially the Social Responsibility Management Policy of the Company.
