Government and enterprises work together to empower health: Health & Beauty Group's chronic disease public welfare project accelerates the healthy vitality of rural revitalization in Bomê County, Tibet

On March 20, a "Universal Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment Public Welfare Project" jointly launched by Health Yuan & Lizhu Group and the Tibet Qizheng Charity Foundation arrived in Bomê County, Linzhi City, Tibet Autonomous Region, and a drug donation ceremony was held in front of the Zamu County Committee Red Building. Deputy County Magistrate Zhuoma Yangjin, Director Niu Haiyan of the County Health and Health Commission, relevant heads of the County People's Hospital and various township health centers, volunteers from the Tibet Qizheng Charity Foundation, and volunteers from Health Yuan and Lizhu Group attended the event.
Bomê County is located in southeastern Tibet. While working to optimize the rural collective economy, the county also attaches great importance to the development of the health and healthcare industry and strives to improve the quality of medical services. In recent years, common chronic diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have become the main diseases threatening the health of the county's residents. After learning about the county's challenges in chronic disease prevention and control, the Health Yuan and Lizhu Group chronic disease public welfare project team cooperated with the government to organize a donation event, donating 1 million yuan worth of chronic disease treatment drugs to Bomê County, aiming to alleviate the difficulties in medication access for low-income residents and contribute to the development of the health industry in Bomê County.
Bomê County Deputy County Magistrate Zhuoma Yangjin expressed sincere gratitude to Health Yuan and Lizhu Group for their drug donation at the event and stated, "The donated drugs will greatly enrich our county's medical resources and are of great significance to improving our county's medical service level and ensuring the medication needs of the masses. We will properly manage and allocate the donated drugs, delivering this heartfelt care and concern to the people."
In recent years, the issue of basic-level medication security has been a constant focus of market attention. With the improvement of basic-level service capabilities and the advancement of county-level medical consortia construction, the development of basic-level medical and health institutions has gradually improved, but there are still some differences in the types and quantities of drugs available and used compared to city hospitals. This year's Government Work Report clearly states "Expand the types of drugs for chronic and common diseases in primary-level medical and health institutions." The National Health Commission also stated at a recent press conference that in 2024, close-knit county-level medical consortia will be fully established to further improve the basic-level medication security mechanism and ensure that patients at the basic level have access to medication."
