Recently, Health Yuan and Lizhu Group held a donation ceremony for drugs in a public welfare chronic disease prevention and treatment project in Kashgar City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Kashgar City, representatives from the Kashgar Municipal Health and Health Commission, Kashgar Municipal Rural Revitalization Bureau, Kashgar Red Cross Society, township health centers in Kashgar, Health Yuan Group volunteers, local poverty-stricken households, and monitored households.
Kashgar City is a national historical and cultural city, a major commercial town and transportation hub on the Silk Road, and is known as the "Jade City." In recent years, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the number of chronic disease patients has increased year by year. In response, the Kashgar region of Xinjiang has continuously improved its relevant work deployment, providing many preferential policies for people with chronic diseases. This public welfare donation of chronic disease drugs is the second stop of Health Yuan and Lizhu Group in 2023, donating 1 million yuan worth of chronic disease drugs to chronic disease patients in Kashgar City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to help promote rural revitalization and effectively help local chronic disease patients alleviate the problem of access to chronic disease drugs.
In the recent two sessions, the topic of "promoting health education and focusing on the causal treatment of chronic diseases" has received much attention. Against this backdrop, Health Yuan's promotion of public welfare projects for chronic disease drug assistance is a positive response to the national call. Under the guidance of the local health and health system, Health Yuan and Lizhu Group, through public welfare projects for chronic disease drug assistance, help popularize and deepen the correct concepts of chronic disease and health management among local patients, prevent "impoverishment due to illness and relapse into poverty," effectively link health poverty alleviation with rural revitalization, and leverage industrial advantages to promote the implementation of the "rural revitalization" strategy.
Since launching the public welfare project for chronic diseases in 2018, Health Yuan and Lizhu Group have expanded their efforts to Sichuan, Shanxi, Gansu, Jilin, Henan, Anhui, Hunan, Jiangxi, Tibet, and Xinjiang, signing 19 public welfare project agreements for chronic disease prevention and control and assisting nearly 6,400 registered households.
