Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan Bio-products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan) was invested and established by Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. It mainly produces 7-aminocephalosporanic acid, the core of cephalosporin antibiotics, and is the world's first company to use bio-fermentation technology to produce 7-aminocephalosporanic acid. The company's 7-aminocephalosporanic acid accounts for the largest market share in the global industry, and its products are exported to India, Japan, South Korea and other countries. In 2019, the company achieved revenue of 1.17 billion yuan, profit of 230 million yuan, and tax payment of 125 million yuan.
For many years, Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan has always taken "innovative enterprise" as its development goal. It has established a research and development center and has been successively recognized as a provincial enterprise technology center, Henan Cephalosporin Biochemical Medical Intermediate Engineering Technology Research Center, Henan Green Bio-manufacturing Academician Workstation, and Green Bio-manufacturing Joint R&D Center. The company currently has more than 150 R&D personnel, including 25 senior research experts such as senior engineers, researchers, and professors; it owns 10 invention patents and 27 utility model patents.
Adsorption separation technology directly determines the quality of 7-ACA. High-efficiency adsorption separation materials and processes are core key technologies that China's pharmaceutical industry has been working on for a long time. For a long time, the enzyme carrier materials and adsorption separation materials used in the green enzymatic synthesis of 7-ACA have been expensive, and China has relied on imports for the adsorption separation materials and enzyme carriers used in the enzymatic synthesis of 7-ACA, which has prevented large-scale production in China. As a result, China's 7-ACA production can only use chemical methods with harsh reaction conditions, serious pollution, and highly toxic raw materials, and the industrialization of green enzymatic synthesis cannot be achieved.
Focusing on the above problems, Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan has carried out years of scientific and technological research, breaking through 5 key technologies, including the control of microstructure that restricts material performance, establishing an integrated separation and intensification technology system, breaking the foreign monopoly on the preparation of 7-ACA that must use imported adsorption separation materials, building an enzymatic production line with an annual output of 2,000 tons of 7-ACA, achieving an upgrade of China's cephalosporin industry, and enabling the production of 7-ACA to achieve a milestone transformation from the traditional chemical method to a low-pollution, low-consumption enzymatic method. It became the first company in China to successfully achieve enzymatic production of 7-ACA. In 2018, the project won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. As of now, Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan's global market share of 7-ACA has reached more than 50%, and its production and sales volume ranks first in the world.
It is understood that Jiaozuo Healthy Yuan has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise for 10 consecutive years; in 2012, it was awarded the title of Top 20 Enterprise in Henan's Biopharmaceutical Industry, Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, and Key Provincial Service Enterprise; for many years, it has won the title of "Top 30 Enterprises" in Jiaozuo City and has been rated as an excellent high-tech enterprise and an advanced industrial enterprise by the municipal government; in 2013, it was rated as one of the top 100 science and technology innovation enterprises in Jiaozuo City; it has won provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards many times, undertaken national torch plan projects, and major provincial projects; in 2019, it was rated as a national green factory and a green leading enterprise in Henan Province.
