On December 13, the Comprehensive Group of the State Council's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic issued the "Implementation Plan for the Second Booster Vaccination of COVID-19 Vaccines" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), and the recombinant COVID-19 fusion protein vaccine (CHO cell) developed by Lizhu Bio was selected as a preferred combination.
The Plan states that all vaccines approved for conditional marketing or emergency use can be used for the second booster immunization. Priority is given to sequential booster immunization, or using vaccines containing Omicron strains or with good cross-immunity against Omicron strains for the second booster immunization. Preferred combinations include 3 doses of inactivated vaccines + 1 dose of Lizhu Bio's recombinant COVID-19 fusion protein (CHO cell) vaccine. It also emphasizes that the second booster immunization can be carried out among high-risk groups, people over 60 years old, people with serious underlying diseases, and immunocompromised individuals, based on the first booster immunization.

Clinical trial data show that after sequential boosting, the absolute protective efficacy of Lizhu Bio's recombinant COVID-19 fusion protein (CHO cell) vaccine against Omicron mild and above symptomatic infections (relative to the unvaccinated population) is 61.35%, and the protection rate for people with underlying diseases is as high as 71.83%, and 61.19% for people over 60 years old or with underlying diseases, demonstrating its protective efficacy advantage for key populations such as those with underlying diseases, the elderly, and high-risk groups. At the same time, Lizhu Bio's recombinant COVID-19 fusion protein (CHO cell) vaccine used for sequential boosting also has good safety and tolerability, and is safer than mRNA or adenovirus vaccines, making it one of the preferred vaccines for sequential booster immunization.
Currently, Lizhu Bio's recombinant COVID-19 fusion protein (CHO cell) vaccine has been used in sequential booster vaccination in many parts of China, including Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Zhejiang, Henan, and Yunnan provinces, contributing Lizhu's strength to the fight against the epidemic.
