On December 12, at 2:30 pm, the first dose ceremony for the sequential booster vaccination of the Zhuhai Lizhu recombinant novel coronavirus fusion protein vaccine was held in Guiyang.

As of the seventh national population census data in 2020, among the permanent residents of Guizhou Province, the elderly aged 60 and above account for about 15.38% of the total population of the province, reaching 5.93 million people. For this group of people, sequential vaccination of the new coronavirus vaccine undoubtedly provides an effective guarantee for disease prevention in the healthy life of the elderly in their later years.
With the deepening of research on the novel coronavirus, the data from phase III clinical trials targeting Omicron (a variant of the novel coronavirus) have gradually improved. Currently, the recombinant novel coronavirus fusion protein vaccine has an absolute protective efficacy as high as 61.35%, and the age limit for vaccination will be completely lifted after the first dose of sequential vaccination.

"I heard that this booster vaccine is very effective against the current Omicron variant. "I didn't feel any pain when I received this booster vaccine, and I observed for half an hour without any discomfort. I feel good now."
According to statistics, most of the recipients in this activity chose the Zhuhai Lizhu recombinant novel coronavirus fusion protein (CHO cell) vaccine. Its unique molecular design contains IFN-α biological adjuvant, which can enhance the immune response and produce higher protective efficacy. It takes effect 7 days after vaccination and reaches excellent protective effect after 14 days, and can be used for emergency vaccination.
