On September 2, Jiankangyuan issued an announcement stating that the company recently learned that, according to relevant regulations, the company's holding subsidiary, Lizhu Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd.'s holding subsidiary, Zhuhai Lizhu Monoclonal Antibody Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Lizhu Monoclonal Antibody), and the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly developed the "Recombinant Novel Coronavirus Fusion Protein Vaccine" (hereinafter referred to as: V-01), upon the suggestion of the National Health Commission, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration after review for inclusion in the emergency use of sequential booster immunization for novel coronavirus prevention.
The announcement shows that V-01 was initiated in July 2020 and is an innovative recombinant protein vaccine for COVID-19 independently developed by Lizhu Monoclonal Antibody and the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. V-01 was approved for clinical trials by the National Medical Products Administration at the beginning of 2021, with an indication for the prevention of diseases caused by novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Jiankangyuan stated in the announcement that the inclusion of the recombinant COVID-19 vaccine in emergency use for sequential booster immunization will further enhance the company's core competitiveness, and if subsequently procured and used on a large scale by relevant national departments, it will have a positive impact on the company's performance.
