Poverty Alleviation with Continued Support: Health Yuan & Lizhu Pharmaceutical's Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation Program Expands to Pingwu Laohegou Following Hai

On June 1st, a signing ceremony for the Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. & Lizhu Pharmaceutical Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation Project in Pingwu County was held in Gaocun Township. Jing Xiangjun, member of the County Standing Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee; Zheng Maojun, Deputy County Magistrate; Wang Dezhi, Vice President of the Taohuayuan Ecological Protection Foundation; and Liu Jia, Director of Public Affairs at Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony.
At the signing ceremony, Jiankangyuan Group, the County Red Cross Society, the County Health and Health Bureau, and the County Poverty Alleviation and Development Bureau jointly signed the "Drug Donation Project Cooperation Agreement." After the implementation of this cooperation, Jiankangyuan & Lizhu Pharmaceutical will donate RMB 1 million worth of drugs for hyperlipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, etc., free of charge, to help people with chronic diseases from economically disadvantaged families in Pingwu County, including those registered as impoverished, those receiving government support, those receiving minimum living allowances, and those eligible for preferential treatment, alleviate the economic burden caused by long-term medication. Industry insiders said that this signing with Pingwu County, Sichuan Province, is another important measure for Jiankangyuan & Lizhu Pharmaceutical Group to implement the national policy of precision poverty alleviation and continued support after poverty alleviation.
It is understood that Pingwu County is located in northern Mianyang. The county covers an area of 5974 square kilometers, is rich in natural resources, and is a key biological protection barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is known as the "No. 1 Giant Panda County in the World." Among them, the Laohegou Nature Reserve is the first in China to transform a former state-owned forest farm into a county-level reserve, a social public welfare protected area supported by social funds, managed by civil organizations, and supervised by government departments.
Jiankangyuan, as a council member of the Taohuayuan Foundation, is one of the earliest pharmaceutical companies in China to engage in health poverty alleviation. Since launching the chronic disease poverty alleviation public welfare project in 2018, Jiankangyuan has always paid close attention to people's livelihood. This time, with the strong recommendation of the Taohuayuan Foundation, it has given full play to the role of listed companies in poverty alleviation, actively participating in the poverty alleviation work in Pingwu. To date, Jiankangyuan has implemented chronic disease poverty alleviation projects in many places including Gansu, Sichuan, Shanxi, and Jilin provinces.
