Four months have passed since the Jiankangyuan & Lizhu Group's affordable chronic disease prevention and treatment project reached Fenyi County, Jiangxi Province in December 2021, providing free medicine to local patients. Currently, these donated medicines have been accurately distributed.
In the distribution of these donated medicines, in order to deliver the medicines accurately and quickly to those in need, relevant staff at the township health centers in Fenyi acted quickly, employing three methods for efficient and precise distribution, ensuring that the group's donated medicines for hyperlipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, etc., reached the right households, individuals, and diseases.
The Songshan Health Center in Qiangshan Town delivers medicine to the elderly at the nursing home.
1. Investigate and survey impoverished households and monitored households regarding their use of relevant medicines, going door-to-door to deliver medicines to patients. Impoverished households and monitored households are the main beneficiaries of this donation. To provide more precise assistance and prevent the recurrence of poverty due to illness, the township health centers in Fenyi County conducted a survey of key groups and arranged for staff to visit villages, communicating directly with patients to ensure that every patient in need receives free medicine.
2. Nursing Home Resident Elderly Care 。 As a public welfare elderly care institution established by Fenyi County, the nursing home houses elderly people who have been plagued by chronic diseases for a long time. After medical staff check their health, they provide targeted medicines based on their current condition, helping them improve their health.
3. Distributed by village doctors to local people with medication needs. Village doctors are the most knowledgeable about the actual health conditions of villagers and are also the main force in the delivery of medicines. Based on their past clinical experience, they can accurately identify families in the village with a history of relevant chronic diseases. After assessing the patients' needs, they directly distribute the medicine.
The distribution of medicine is not the end of the project; follow-up support for the proper use of the medicine is equally important. Are patients taking their medication regularly? Are the donated medicines effective? These questions concern not only the group volunteers but also many family members of patients who live elsewhere.

To this end, medical personnel at the Fenyi township health centers regularly conduct medical follow-up work, encouraging patients who have received medicine to take it regularly and inquiring about the effectiveness of the donated medicine. In addition, medical personnel record and feedback the follow-up results and suggestions, which provides guidance for the group's future medicine donation plans.
