Which enterprises are leading Shenzhen's high-quality development in the new era? Recently, the "2021 Shenzhen High-Quality Development Leading Enterprises and Leading Figures" selection summary meeting was held, guided by the Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) and hosted by the Shenzhen High-Quality Development Promotion Association. 20 enterprises, including Kingtec, and 20 entrepreneurs, including Shen Qingfang, were respectively awarded "Leading Enterprises" and "Leading Figures".

Tang Jie, chairman of the Development Planning Committee of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), former vice mayor of Shenzhen; Xu Youjun, former vice chairman of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Feng Dechong, member of the Party group and full-time vice chairman of the Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce; Hu Junyuan, chairman of the Shenzhen High-Quality Development Promotion Association and chairman of Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Zhou Chuang, chairman of the board of directors of the Shenzhen High-Quality Development Promotion Association and chairman of Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd.; and heads of enterprise service departments in various districts of Shenzhen attended the summary meeting.

The selection activity was launched in early July. The selection adopts a combination of enterprise self-application and recommendations from enterprise service centers in various districts of Shenzhen, municipal and district federations of industry and commerce, etc. Focusing on the core concept of "high-quality development", it uses the "Shenzhen Enterprise High-Quality Development Index System" compiled by the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) research team as a benchmark to select enterprises and individuals that are led by technological innovation and have made significant achievements in the coordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, green and low-carbon development, and open sharing. After more than three months of selection and nomination, visits and investigations, and expert comprehensive review, 20 enterprises and 20 individuals stood out from 702 applicant enterprises and nearly 200 applicants, respectively, and were awarded the title of Shenzhen High-Quality Development Leading Enterprises and Leading Figures.

Tang Jie said at the summary meeting that enterprise development is dynamic. Some focus on technological and talent innovation, some seize opportunities to achieve transformation and upgrading, and some stick to niche areas. It is necessary to select enterprises that truly implement the concept of high-quality development. In this review, the "Shenzhen Enterprise High-Quality Development Index System" compiled by the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) research team provides a relatively scientific evaluation standard. The activity combines on-site inspections and evaluations of enterprises' contributions to development by district enterprise service centers. It focuses on the current achievements and contributions of enterprises to high-quality development, and also identifies high-growth innovative enterprises.

Relevant officials from the Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce said that the leading enterprises and leading figures selected this time are all industry benchmarks and leaders in economic transformation and upgrading and technology-driven innovation. In the future, these enterprises and individuals will represent "high-quality development in the Greater Bay Area" nationwide and become recommended candidates for the Shenzhen Mayor's Quality Award and the China Quality Award.

It is reported that the second Shenzhen High-Quality Development Summit Forum and the 2021 "Shenzhen High-Quality Development Leading Enterprises and Leading Figures" award ceremony will be held in November.
