Jiankang Yuan's chronic disease poverty alleviation program enters Anhui, joining hands with Taohuayuan to support rural revitalization in Huangshan District

On April 20, 2021, a donation ceremony for the Healthy Yuan Chronic Disease Poverty Alleviation and Rural Revitalization project was held in the meeting room of the Huangshan District Health and Health Commission in Huangshan City, Anhui Province. Huangshan, Anhui received a donation of 1 million yuan worth of poverty alleviation medicines from Healthy Yuan & Lizhu Group, used to improve rural public service medical resources, focusing on supporting 800 registered impoverished households in the communities around Jiulong Peak, involving 11 administrative villages around Jiulong Peak.
The donation ceremony was presided over by Wang Zhengming, Deputy Director of the Huangshan District Health and Health Commission. Important guests including Wang Peiling, Deputy District Head of Huangshan District People's Government; Wu Xinglong, Director of Huangshan District Health and Health Commission; Cao Siwen, Executive Vice President of Huangshan District Red Cross Society; Zhou Xiang and Zhang Zheng, heads of the East China project of Taohuayuan Ecological Protection Foundation, attended and delivered important speeches. Also attending the ceremony were representatives from Huangshan District Red Cross Society, Huangshan Green Full Huaihe Nature Reserve Center, Huangshan District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Huangshan District Forestry Bureau, Huangshan District Civil Affairs Bureau, Jiaocun Town People's Government, Tangkou Town People's Government, Jiaocun Town Health Center, Tangkou Town Health Center, Huangshan Qianniaogu Ecological Technology Co., Ltd., Huangshan Jiulong Peak Protection Area Management Station, and Healthy Yuan & Lizhu Group.
At the ceremony, Liu Jia, a representative of Healthy Yuan & Lizhu Group, introduced the implementation background and national implementation of the chronic disease poverty alleviation and rural revitalization project, stating that this action is an important step in expanding the chronic disease poverty alleviation responsibility map to Anhui Province, following Sichuan, Shanxi, Gansu, Jilin, Henan, and Tibet Autonomous Region. As an enterprise, while growing and developing, Healthy Yuan has always paid attention to the national health cause and is committed to contributing to society with practical actions. This drug donation action reflects the high importance attached by the state, local governments, and enterprises to the primary-level medical and health cause, the close attention paid to people's health, and plays a positive role in strengthening the medical security network.
After the donation ceremony, representatives from Healthy Yuan & Lizhu Group visited the recipient families and extended their greetings to the patients who received the medicines, receiving a warm welcome from the villagers. It is understood that Huangshan District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province has a total population of only 160,000, of which 15,000 people work outside their homes for a living, leaving many elderly people and children behind. Although the area boasts unique scenic resources with towering mountains and undulating peaks, the rugged terrain, small population, insufficient advantages in production development, and incomplete construction of basic living service infrastructure have resulted in relatively backward medical levels in some parts of Huangshan. This chronic disease poverty alleviation project has helped to make up for the shortcomings in medical resources to a certain extent.
Without the health of all the people, there is no comprehensive well-off society. In its nearly 30 years of development, Healthy Yuan has integrated the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility into its overall development strategy. To date, the Healthy Yuan & Lizhu Group chronic disease poverty alleviation project has reached 6 provinces, 13 counties and districts, and 1 township, donating a total of 12 million yuan worth of chronic disease medicines, helping over 5,000 impoverished households register, and making positive contributions to making up for the shortcomings in medical services in impoverished areas.
2021 is the opening year for implementing the "14th Five-Year Plan" and comprehensively constructing a socialist modern metropolis, and the beginning of the new decade of "Healthy China 2030." At this new starting point and on this new journey, Healthy Yuan will continue to uphold its mission of "everyone has the right to enjoy their old age, regardless of poverty or wealth." Under the general trend of policy-driven, capital-assisted, and health economy upgrading, it will continue to deepen the chronic disease poverty alleviation project, continue to practice social responsibility, better protect the health of the Chinese grassroots, and contribute to the deepening of the Healthy China strategy and rural revitalization.
