Key Development Focus of Health Poverty Alleviation from the No.1 Central Document of 2021; How Health Yuan Contributes to Rural Revitalization

Under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the extraordinary year of 2020 saw the complete victory of the poverty alleviation campaign, delivering a weighty Chinese answer. This remarkable achievement marks a significant step forward in our Party's efforts to unite and lead the people in creating a better life and achieving common prosperity. However, escaping poverty is not the end point.
On January 14, 2021, the No. 1 Central Document of 2021, "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Comprehensively Promoting Rural Revitalization and Accelerating Agricultural and Rural Modernization," was officially released. This is the 18th No. 1 Central Document guiding the "three rural issues" work since the 21st century. The full text consists of five parts, including: overall requirements; effectively connecting the consolidation and expansion of poverty alleviation achievements with rural revitalization; accelerating agricultural modernization; vigorously implementing rural construction actions; and strengthening the Party's overall leadership over the "three rural issues" work.
In terms of healthy village construction, the "No. 1 Document" proposes the following development priorities: "Strengthening health services for key groups such as women and children, the elderly, and the disabled"; and "Comprehensively promoting the construction of healthy villages and improving the standardization of village clinics and health management levels." Comparing it with the 2020 No. 1 Document, we find that Health management " appears for the first time.
Health management in China emerged relatively late, and in relatively underdeveloped rural areas, health awareness is also relatively low. In response to this national condition, Health Yuan & Lizhu Group launched its chronic disease poverty alleviation initiative in 2018, and through repeated interactions with the people, has gained a deep understanding of the importance of health to poverty alleviation.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council attach great importance to health poverty alleviation, and General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered the latest important speech at the National Poverty Alleviation Summary and Commendation Conference held on February 25: " We must effectively carry out various tasks to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connect them with rural revitalization. We must strengthen monitoring of people who are prone to relapse into poverty, provide long-term cultivation and support for industries in poverty-stricken areas, provide good follow-up support for people relocated from poverty-stricken areas, and provide assistance to poverty-stricken counties to help them get on their feet and provide a helping hand, maintaining the overall stability of major support policies. ”

Chronic disease poverty alleviation is by no means a sprint; it was once a "small light" for millions of families. Now, it will become an effective boost to promote the connection of poverty alleviation achievements with rural revitalization.
