Delivering medicine to rural areas, warming the hearts of impoverished patients: Health Yuan & Lizhu's chronic disease poverty alleviation program continues to be implemented.

Recently, an activity called "Warming the Hearts of the Poor, Free Medicine Delivery to Rural Areas" officially kicked off in Jiaozuo's Macun district. This is a joint effort between Joincare Pharmaceutical Group Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Health Yuan") and Lizhu Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lizhu Pharmaceutical") in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, Macun district. To better help chronic disease patients in impoverished areas overcome difficulties in accessing medication, this chronic disease poverty alleviation activity, jointly conducted with Macun government units, provides free medicine to the local impoverished population.
This activity mainly involves mobile medical clinics, where professional medical personnel provide diagnoses, and free medication is distributed for four common diseases: hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, and gastric diseases. The recipients are mainly elderly chronic disease patients among the impoverished population.
The mobile medical clinics were set up at five locations: Yanma Community Health Service Center, Changsheng Community Health Service Center Bai Zhuang Village, Dai Wang Community Health Service Center Xi Dai Wang, Wenchang Brain Disease Hospital Xia Ma Village, and a joint clinic by the district people's hospital expert team and Anyang City Central Hospital in Mao Zhai Village. The activity was enthusiastically received by the public. Meanwhile, under the guidance of medical personnel, the distribution of medicines at each distribution point proceeded in an orderly manner.
It is understood that since 2018, Health Yuan, together with its holding company Lizhu Group, has launched a chronic disease poverty alleviation public welfare project. They have always paid close attention to people's livelihood, given full play to the role of listed companies in poverty alleviation, actively carried out targeted poverty alleviation work, and spared no effort in helping impoverished areas achieve targeted poverty alleviation. To date, Health Yuan has carried out chronic disease poverty alleviation work in many places, including Dongxiang County, Gansu Province; Tianzhu County, Gansu Province; Chaotien District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province; Jiange County, Sichuan Province; Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province; Xianghai, Tongyu County, Jilin Province; Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province; Guangling County and Lingqiu County; and Zayu County, Linzhi City, Tibet Autonomous Region.
Recently, the General Secretary, in an important speech at the 27th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, proposed an initiative on telemedicine to enable people in impoverished and remote areas to receive timely and effective treatment, thereby supporting cooperation in epidemic prevention and economic recovery. This instruction reflects that poverty alleviation is not the end point, but the starting point for new struggles and a new life; that achieving poverty alleviation is not a one-off effort, and risks of falling back into poverty due to illness must be prevented; and that health poverty alleviation is key to winning the battle against poverty.
