Recently, the Respiratory Group of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and the Pediatric Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association jointly issued the "Recommendations for the Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Bronchial Asthma (2020 Edition)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Treatment Recommendations"), providing a useful reference for the standardized and homogenized diagnosis and treatment of childhood asthma in China. Among them, levalbuterol, as a newly launched inhalation preparation, is also recommended as the first-line drug of choice for treating acute attacks.
Levalbuterol hydrochloride nebulization inhalation solution, as an inhalation preparation, is a typical complex preparation. This type of product is difficult to imitate, has a low degree of domestic production, and is heavily reliant on imports. It is an inhalation preparation that the country prioritizes and encourages research and development. In 2018, it entered the "29th batch of drug registration applications to be included in the priority review procedure" list as a "major project" and "pediatric drug".
