In the depths of winter, good news arrived regarding the chronic disease poverty alleviation efforts of Health Yuan & Lizhu Group. On December 12th, the company made its first foray into Northeast China, signing a chronic disease poverty alleviation agreement with the Xiang Hai National Nature Reserve, bringing warmth to the villagers surrounding the reserve.
That morning, leaders including Yang Shao'an, Party Secretary of Xiang Hai Township, Tongyu County, Jilin Province; Wang Wenhe, Township Head; Yang Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Xiang Hai National Nature Reserve; Hua Shuchun, Director of Xiang Hai Township Hospital; and Wang Chunli, Director of the Xiang Hai Ecological Protection Center, met with the Health Yuan poverty alleviation volunteers. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the content of chronic disease poverty alleviation and the method of drug distribution. Secretary Yang expressed gratitude and appreciation for Health Yuan & Lizhu Group's contribution to poverty alleviation in Xiang Hai, commending their charitable efforts. Subsequently, Health Yuan & Lizhu Group and the Xiang Hai National Nature Reserve formally signed the chronic disease poverty alleviation agreement.
Xiang Hai is a national AAAA-level nature reserve, home to 293 bird species. It has been assessed by the World Wildlife Fund as an "internationally significant A-level nature reserve," included in the "International Important Wetlands List," and approved by the National Man and Biosphere Committee to join the "China Man and Biosphere Protection Network." It is also a national-level forest and wildlife nature reserve. Xiang Hai is also a conservation base of the Peach Blossom Spring Foundation, entrusted with the management of 175 square kilometers. This Health Yuan & Lizhu Group chronic disease poverty alleviation initiative in Xiang Hai will donate 1 million yuan worth of medicines to villagers in 16 villages suffering from chronic diseases, primarily targeting hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and stomach ailments, to support medical poverty alleviation.
Since launching the chronic disease poverty alleviation project at the end of 2018, Health Yuan & Lizhu Group has carried out chronic disease poverty alleviation in eight counties and districts across Sichuan, Shanxi, Gansu, and Jilin provinces. Whether rich or poor, ensuring every elderly person has the right to enjoy a healthy old age is the core principle that Health Yuan & Lizhu Group faithfully upholds in its poverty alleviation efforts.
