Urofollitropin for Injection
[Composition]
A preparation of Urofollitropin, which is a sterile lyophilized form after adding appropriate excipient.
[Indication]
1. Treatment of anovulation (include Polycystic ovary syndrome) and be invalid to Clomiphene Citrate.
2. To assist ovarian hyperstimulation of reproductive technology.
[Dosage and Administration]
Intramuscular injection, dissolve the product in Sodium Chloride injection before use. To avoid excessive capacity of injection, 5 vials could be dissolved in 1 ml solvent.
1. Treatment of anovulation (include Polycystic ovary syndrome) and be invalid to Clomiphene Citrate.
Treatment purpose of this product is to produce single mature follicle, and then promote the release of egg by using HCG.
It could be use daily over the course of treatment, the treatment should begin at the first seven days of the menstrual cycle for those who still have menstruation.
The treatment scheme should be adjusted depending on patient response. It is recommended that the initial dose of 75 Unit to 150 Unit per day. An adjustment in dose of increasing or reducing 75 IU may be considered every 7 or 14 days to get an appropriate (not excessive) response if necessary. The course of treatment should be halted if it is ineffective after four weeks.
If the response is appropriate, intramuscularly inject 10,000 IU HCG after 24-48 hours of the last injection of this product, and the patient should be advised to have intercourse on the day or after the day of treatment with HCG.
If the response is excessive, treatment should be halted and HCG should be stopped, less dosage treatment should be taken for the next cycle.
2. To assist ovarian hyperstimulation.
The treatment should be initiated with daily dosage of 150IU - 225 IU start from the second or the third day of menstruation cycle, adjust the dosage depending on patient response (the daily maximum dosage is not more than 450 IU) until sufficient follicular development is attained.
Intramuscularly inject 10,000 IU HCG after 24-48 hours of the last injection of this product to induce final follicular maturation.
It is widely used that the Down-regulation of GnRH agonist inhibit endogenic LH peak and control LH level. In common dosage schedule, this product is used after two weeks treatment of agonist, continue to use the above two drugs until sufficient follicular development is attained.
For example, intramuscularly inject 225 IU of this product at the first 7 days, adjust the later dosage depending on the ovarian response.
