Generic Name: Salmeterol Xinafoate and Fluticasone Propionate Powder for Inhalation

Indications: This product is used in combination therapy (bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroids) for the regular treatment of reversible obstructive airway diseases, including asthma in adults and children.

This may include:

Patients who are receiving an effective maintenance dose of long-acting beta agonists and inhaled corticosteroids;

Patients currently treated with inhaled corticosteroids but still experiencing symptoms;

Patients undergoing regular treatment with bronchodilators but still requiring inhaled corticosteroid therapy.

Dosage forms and strengths: Each blister contains 50 μg of salmeterol xinafoate (as C25H37NO4) and 250 μg of fluticasone propionate, with delivered doses of 47 μg of salmeterol xinafoate (as C25H37NO4) and 231 μg of fluticasone propionate.

Dosage and administration:

For oral inhalation only.

For adults and adolescents aged 12 and above: One inhalation (50 μg of salmeterol and 250 μg of fluticasone propionate) twice daily.

No dose adjustment is necessary for elderly or patients with renal impairment. There is no available data on the use of this product in patients with hepatic impairment.
